TJM are proud to be associated with the Tatts Finke Desert Race
TJM are proud to announce sponsorship of the 2018 Tatts Finke Desert Race.
The Finke Desert Race has the reputation of being one of the most difficult off road courses in the world for or bikes, cars, buggies and quads. This two day course runs through 460 kms of multi desert terrain from Alice Springs to Aputula (Finke), a small desert town. The race crosses the Finke River, believed to be the oldest river in the world. Finke is held over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, this year running from Friday 8th June until Monday 11th June 2018.
In 2018, Finke’s Official Sweep Vehicle team will be known as the TJM Recovery Team, exclusively using TJM 4×4 Equipped vehicles and TJM Recovery gear to clear the track and assisting competitors to return safely to camp.
Last year’s winners included Shannon Rentsch and Ian Rentsch for the Cars events, and for Bikes Daymon Stokie, who passed away earlier this year.
The TJM team look forward to following the Finke race closely to see who takes out King of the Desert in 2018.
